Want the Results? Get Committed.

I was checking myself out in the bathroom mirror yesterday. At first I thought it was wishful thinking but, upon further inspection I realised that yes, I've got some muscle in my arms!

I tensed my right arm, took a picture with the other and sent it to Keijiro for verification.

"Wow, you're looking strong" he said.

I never expected to see results this quickly. I never expected to actually feel stronger, fitter, more confident and a little bit kick ass in the space of just 3 weeks.

But the results are there. I can see them. I can feel them. And it feels fucking amazing to take ownership of my health and my body in this way.

And you know how this happened?

Commitment.

After I went to my very first kickboxing class in the local community centre I said "right, I'm going to find out where I can do this and I'm going to take as many classes as I can before I leave London."

I got on the internet, found a local martial arts centre, signed up and made a commitment to myself to go at least 3 times a week.

I don't always feel like going.

But I made a commitment, so I go.

Commitment is freakin' powerful and yet it's seriously underused

If I had to explain to someone how I got this far in my business having started from nothing, there's only one thing I'd say.

I'm committed.

No matter how hard it is, I'm committed.

No matter how many times I screw up, I'm committed.

No matter how much I think I'm too tired to carry on, I'm committed.

Commitment is something I have going for me. It might be the ONLY thing I have going for me.

I decide what I really want and I commit myself 200% to it. I think I've mentioned before, I'm a stubborn bitch when it comes to the things I want.

Let me tell you this:

NOTHING can get in the way of a fully committed person. NOTHING.

Fully committed people break through walls, climb mountains, swim oceans and do whatever the hell it is they need to do to achieve what they've committed themselves to.

But most people?

They're not committed. Not really. They just don't understand what it is to be fully committed. They back out at the first hurdle. They moan when things get tough. They wait for someone else to come and make it easier for them.

And those people?

They'll never achieve their dreams. It's just honestly impossible without that rock solid personal internal commitment to making it happen no matter what and no matter how long it takes.

Commitment is about knowing you're in it for the long haul. It's about playing the long term game. It's about sacrificing short term pleasure for long term results.

And people just aren't willing to do that.

But you?

You're not most people. Please don't tell me you read my emails day after day just for a bit of light entertainment? Just to give you a bit of a boost? Just to give you a little bit of inspiration that you'll then do nothing with?

No, I know you're not here for that. You're here because you know you can do this. You're here because there's a part of you that knows you're fucking powerful. You know you can create anything you want, WHEN you get fully committed.

So today is commitment day.

Write down what you want. WRITE IT DOWN.  And then get fully committed to making it happen.

Renew your commitment every day.

And then get to work doing what needs to be done.

If you don't, I will totally come over there and do one of my kickass kickboxing moves on you.

Love and courage,

Leah
