A poem for the rule-breakers

Take me to the library and sit me down
at a desk with one of those little lamps.
The kind you see in the movies.
Bring me the book.
I want to see where it is written
in black and white
about the way you keep telling me
I should live this life.
I want to read case studies of people
who followed every rule
and I want to know
were they happy, alive, fulfilled?

Love and courage,
